This is a perfect example of hype (in the name of National Security and terrorism) over substance..

Lets examine the statement "the cost of missing such a thread can be horrific"

While I agree the deaths of nearly 3,000 Americans (13 years ago), whose only mistake was showing up for work, is, as defined, horrific lets take a common sense look at the use of the word "horrific" in this particular instance.

Is it equally "horrific" that..

Something close to 2,500 Americans die every single year from choking on "food"?

Mostly children, the most innocent among us..

That some 2,700 Americans die every year from "fire".

"A smoking gun isn’t the only thing that can kill — smoking, flaming and burning homes typically kill thousands of folks each year."

That 25,000 Americans die every year from "falls".

"Falls killed about 25,000 people in 2009, according to the National Safety Council, with those over age 65 making up the vast majority of the victims."

That 39,000 Americans die every year from "drugs".

"Drugs account for more than 10 times the amount of poisoning deaths of all other substances, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Top culprits are opioid pain medications, such as oxycodone, hydrocodone and methadone, with cocaine and heroin ranked second and third." (I might add many if not most of these drugs are legally obtained).

That 42,000 Americans die every single year from "auto accidents".

"If motorists would stop texting, cell-phone yakking, applying makeup and eating while driving, we’d surely have fewer than the 36,000 deaths associated with motor vehicle crashes the National Safety Council reported for 2009. Distracted driving is the No. 1 offender and young adults are the No. 1 offenders, with their fatal crash rate three times higher than any other age group."

2,000 Americans die each year of drowning..

Lets add up these annual death totals to arrive at 113,200 American deaths PER YEAR.

This is where I end up..

As "horrific" as it may be that 3,000 Americans died as the result of a terrorist attack 13 years ago (an average annual death rate of 230 Americans per year as a result of terrorism, excluding the 12 terrorism deaths attributed to Maj. Nidel Hasan since they are classified by our own government as "work place violence").

So my question is a rather simple one..

Where are the TRILLIONS of dollars of taxpayer fiat to battle the top 5 leading causes of American death over the last 13 years that total 1,471,600 vs not only the fiat, but loss of life and limb involved in ever present "war on terror"?

There's a big difference in passing mandatory seat belt laws and indiscriminately peering at every phone call, email and web browse of every person on the planet, including those of the people you are obligated to protect from just such Orwellian abuses of power.

Are you willing to give up your constitutionally garanteed right to privacy from government intrusion to fight the 10 times more likely death caused by fire?

I will vote for liberty and freedom every single time..

Free post secondary education AND free healthcare

Elementary and secondary education is mostly obligatory and free in developed countries. At the same time, remarkable number of countries have both universal health care and free post-secondary education. Universal health care is actually part of the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, which US did not ratify in full. So much for country fighting worldwide for human rights.

Now, to leave all my rant aside, countries that have both free universal health care and free post-secondary education are:

- Argentina
- Brazil
- China
- Denmark
- Finland
- Greece
- Norway
- Sweden
- Sri Lanka
- Cuba
- Libya (prior to the revolution)

What my life has been like.. lately..

The end of August Mrs Warrior was on one of her "shopping" trips with out daughter, son & grandkids. These adventures are usually rummage sales all day long but sometimes flea markets too..

During the process she ran across a 1998 Dodge RAM pickup truck and sent me a picture of it. We had been discussing the need of a truck here on the ranch & all so I told her to go for it. Well.. turned out our son-in-law & daughter were looking for a truck too so our son-in-law went to look at it and talk to the guy selling it. The guy wanted $2,000.00 for it (and yes it did run) but our son-in-law talked him down to $1,400.00 and bought it. Later, when he found out we really wanted it too, he felt bad and sold it to us for the $1,400.00.

It built my deck in one trip to Lowes.. (about 10x20 all 2x6's, 4x4's, concrete piers) and seemed like a damn good truck though we bought a battery for it and it kept draining it after sitting for a few days (short maybe). We had to put close to $500.00 in it to get it shaped up enough to pass inspection, get tags, etc. So we had a couple grand in it but, like I said, it seemed like a good truck.

The tags are what got us.. Come to find out we had bought a stolen truck! It ended up going back to it's rightful owner who wasn't even decent enough to cover any of the costs we had incurred fixing it up.

So there went 2 grand down the toilet..

A week later our car blew a head gasket which by the time we covered rental car costs and paid for the repair, about a week) we were out another $1,400.00!

In the mean time I had done my due diligence, researched and bought what was supposed to be a good chainsaw ($400.00). It hasn't put a drop of chain oil on the chain since we bought it so I haven't been able to use it other than trying it out.. The "dealer" we bought it from sucks, had it for a week, told us it was fixed, and.. it isn't! Taking it to a different dealer today to see about getting it going..

Then yesterday everything seemed ok and then.. NO water in the house! Looks as if our well pump has quit and I'm guessing we'll be out another $1,500.00 for this repair..

THIS is the way the "crisis" has been handled by politicians, bankers and corporations and especially the media. The plan is the same regardless of the issue.

Be it the financial crisis of 2008, the Fort Hood [terrorist] shootings, Bengazi, the IRS scandal or the true condition of the U.S. economy. The SOP (standard operating procedure) of the State is first to deny, then blame the other guy, then over a period of YEARS [if not decades] to very slowly leak the truth a minuscule amount at a time so as to control and obfuscate it as much as possible.

Families hoard cash 5 years after crisis -Click for source

NEW YORK - Five years after U.S. investment bank Lehman Brothers collapsed, triggering a global financial crisis and shattering confidence worldwide, families in major countries around the world are still hunkered down, too spooked and distrustful to take chances with their money.

An Associated Press analysis of households in the 10 biggest economies shows that families continue to spend cautiously and have pulled hundreds of billions of dollars out of stocks, cut borrowing for the first time in decades and poured money into savings and bonds that offer puny interest payments, often too low to keep up with inflation.

"It doesn't take very much to destroy confidence, but it takes an awful lot to build it back," says Ian Bright, senior economist at ING, a global bank based in Amsterdam. "The attitude toward risk is permanently reset."

A flight to safety on such a global scale is unprecedented since the end of World War II.

The implications are huge: Shunning debt and spending less can be good for one family's finances. When hundreds of millions do it together, it can starve the global economy.

Some of the retrenchment is not surprising: High unemployment in many countries means fewer people with paychecks to spend. But even people with good jobs and little fear of losing them remain cautious.

"Lehman changed everything," says Arne Holzhausen, a senior economist at global insurer Allianz, based in Munich. "It's safety, safety, safety."
The AP analyzed data showing what consumers did with their money in the five years before the Great Recession began in December 2007 and in the five years that followed, through the end of 2012. The focus was on the world's 10 biggest economies -- the United States, China, Japan, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Russia, Italy and India -- which have half the world's population and 65 percent of global gross domestic product.

Key findings:

Retreat from stocks: A desire for safety drove people to dump stocks, even as prices rocketed from crisis lows in early 2009. Investors in the top 10 countries pulled $1.1 trillion from stock mutual funds in the five years after the crisis, or 10 percent of their holdings at the start of that period, according to Lipper Inc., which tracks funds.

They put more even money into bond mutual funds -- $1.3 trillion -- even as interest payments on bonds plunged to record lows.

Shunning debt: In the five years before the crisis, household debt in the 10 countries jumped 34 percent, according to Credit Suisse. Then the financial crisis hit, and people slammed the brakes on borrowing. Debt per adult in the 10 countries fell 1 percent in the 41/2 years after 2007. Economists say debt hasn't fallen in sync like that since the end of World War II.

People chose to shed debt even as lenders slashed rates on loans to record lows. In normal times, that would have triggered an avalanche of borrowing.

The powers that be can only hope and pray for "triggering an avalanche of borrowing / ie; DEBT". Rates are NOT lower for debt slaves at all.. If anything the financial crisis has plunged more middle class families into higher credit card default rates of about 30% interest! Just because the Federal Reserve Bank is loaning fiat to their banking buddies at ZERO (0) percent interest rates doesn't mean very many normal American citizens are getting a break at all. The ONLY possible way to have good credit in this country / PONZI scheme economy is to need no credit at all. Sure lenders have "slashed rates on loans" if you are shopping for a house, have excellent credit and at least 20% down. (As far as I'm concerned the way it SHOULD be).

Hoarding cash: Looking for safety for their money, households in the six biggest developed economies added $3.3 trillion, or 15 percent, to their cash holdings in the five years after the crisis, slightly more than they did in the five years before, according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The growth of cash is remarkable because millions more were unemployed, wages grew slowly and people diverted billions to pay down their debts.

Slump: To cut debt and save more, people have reined in their spending. Adjusting for inflation, global consumer spending rose 1.6 percent a year during the five years after the crisis, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers, an accounting and consulting firm. That was about half the growth rate before the crisis and only slightly more than the annual growth in population during those years.

Consumer spending is critically important because it accounts for more than 60 percent of GDP.

Developing world not helping enough: When the financial crisis hit, the major developed countries looked to the developing world to take over in powering global growth.

The four big developing countries -- Brazil, Russia, India and China -- recovered quickly from the crisis. But the potential of the BRIC countries, as they are known, was overrated. Although they have 80 percent of the people, they accounted for only 22 percent of consumer spending in the 10 biggest countries last year, according to Haver Analytics, a research firm. This year, their economies are stumbling.

Consumers around the world will eventually shake their fears, of course, and loosen the hold on their money. But few economists expect them to snap back to their old ways.

One reason is that the boom years that preceded the financial crisis were "fueled by families taking on enormous debt", experts now realize, not by healthy wage gains. No one expects a repeat of those excesses.

More importantly, economists cite psychological "scarring," a fear of losing money that grips people during a period of collapsing jobs, incomes and wealth, then doesn't let go, even when better times return. Think of Americans who suffered through the Great Depression and stayed frugal for decades.

Although not on a level with the Depression, some economists think the psychological blow of the financial crisis was severe enough that households won't increase their borrowing and spending to what would be considered normal levels for another five years or longer.

To better understand why people remain so cautious five years after the crisis, AP interviewed consumers around the world. A look at what they're thinking -- and doing -- with their money:

Rick Stonecipher of Muncie, Ind., doesn't like stocks anymore, for the same reason that millions of investors have turned against them -- the stock market crash that began in October 2008 and didn't end until the following March.

"My brokers said they were really safe, but they weren't," says Stonecipher, 59, a substitute school teacher.

Americans sold the most in the five years after the crisis -- $521 billion, or 9 percent of their mutual fund holdings, according to Lipper. But investors in other countries sold a larger share of their holdings: Germans dumped 13 percent; Italians and French, more than 16 percent each.

The French are "not very oriented to risk," says Cyril Blesson, an economist at Pair Conseil, an investment consultancy in Paris. "Now, it's even worse."

Fu Lili, 31, a psychologist in Fu Xin, a city in northeastern China, says she made 20,000 yuan ($3,267) buying and selling stocks before the crisis, more than 10 times her monthly salary then. But she won't touch them now, because she's too scared. In Moscow, Yuri Shcherbanin, 32, a manager for an oil company, says the crash proved stocks were dangerous and he should content himself with money in the bank.

In London, Pavlina Samson, 39, owner of a jewelry and clothes shop, says stocks are too "risky." What's also driving her away may be something that runs deeper: "People feel like they're being ripped off everywhere," she says.

Holzhausen, the Allianz economist, says the crisis taught people not to trust others with their money. "People want to get as much distance as possible from the financial system," he says.

The crisis also taught them about the dangers of debt.

After the crisis hit, Jerry and Madeleine Bosco of Tujunga, Calif., found themselves facing $30,000 in credit card bills with no easy way to pay the debt off. So they sold stocks, threw most of their cards in the trash, and stopped eating out and taking vacations.

Today, most of the debt is gone, but the lusher life of the boom years is a distant memory. "We had credit cards and we didn't worry about a thing," says Madeleine, 55.

In the U.S., debt per adult soared 54 percent in the five years before the crisis. Then it plunged, down 12 percent in 4 1/2 years, although most of that resulted from people defaulting on loans. In the U.K., debt per adult fell a modest 2 percent, but it had jumped 59 percent before the crisis.

Even Japanese and Germans, who weren't big borrowers in the years before the crisis, cut debt -- 4 percent and 1 percent, respectively.

"We don't want to take out a loan," says Maria Schoenberg, 45, of Frankfurt, Germany, explaining why she and her husband, a rheumatologist, decided to rent after a recent move instead of borrowing to buy. "We're terrified of doing that."

Such attitudes are rife when it has rarely been cheaper to borrow around the world.

"A whole new generation of adults has come of age in a time of diminished expectations," says Mark Vitner, a senior economist at Wells Fargo, the fourth-largest U.S. bank. "They're not likely to take on debt like those before them." [We can only hope and pray this is true!]

Or spend as much.

After adjusting for inflation, Americans increased their spending in the five years after the crisis at one-quarter the rate before the crisis, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers. French spending barely budged. In the U.K., spending dropped. The British spent 3 percent less last year than they did five years earlier, in 2007.

High unemployment has played a role. But economists say the financial crisis, and the government debt crisis that started in Europe a year later, has spooked even people who can afford to splurge to cut back.

The wealthiest 1 percent of U.S. households are saving 30 percent of their take-home pay, triple what they were saving in 2008, according to a July report from American Express Publishing and Harrison Group, a research firm.

After years of saving more and shedding debt, the good news is that many people have repaired their personal finances.

Americans have slashed their credit card debt to 2002 levels. In the U.K., personal bank loans, not including mortgages, are no larger than they were in 1999. In addition, home prices in some countries are rising.

So more people have the capacity to borrow, spend and invest more. But will they?

Sahoko Tanabe of Tokyo, 63, lost money in Japan's stock market crash more than two decades ago, but she's buying again. "Abenomics," a mix of fiscal and monetary stimulus named for Japan's new prime minister, has ignited Japanese stocks, and she doesn't want to miss out. "You're bound to fail if you have a pessimistic attitude," she says.

But for every Tanabe, there seem to be more people like Madeleine Bosco, a Californian who ditched many of her credit cards says. "All of a sudden you look at all these things you're buying that you don't need," she says.

WHY WE ARE DOING THIS:

In addition to this being part of our mission anyway, we feel like we are flat running out of time and we need to get as prepared as possible as fast as possible. The Oath Keepers national Board of Directors war-gamed what we think is the most likely move by our enemies to scrap the Constitution. On the BOD at the time were a Special Forces Major, an Army Ranger, and a Marine Scout-sniper veteran, as well as a retired Navy Commander and several Vietnam combat vets, and several other combat arms veterans. Playing devil’s advocate, and putting themselves in the enemy’s shoes, we estimated that the most effective course for “them” to follow would be to:

1. Intentionally trigger a catastrophic economic collapse as an economic “neutron bomb” (kills the people, but leaves the land intact). With the current intentional lack of a Strategic Grain Reserve, our population is in a strategic “checkmate” position where an economic collapse could be a near-extinction event for our population. During the Cold War, the U.S. government maintained three years worth of grain in a Strategic Grain Reserve for the entire US population because they knew that in the wake of a nuclear exchange with the Soviet Union, it could take three years to recover and grow crops again. Without that reserve, those who survived the exchange would starve to death before they could possibly restart growing enough food. We now have no such Strategic food reserve, which means that any catastrophic interruption in food delivery could kill millions of Americans. Such a disruption could occur because of even a limited nuclear exchange, an EMP strike (either man-made, or natural, as a result of solar activity), or, an economic collapse.

Currently, our economy is in such a weak state that an economic collapse could be intentionally triggered at any time. Because of the lack of a food reserve, and because few Americans store food on their own, such a collapse would lead to mass starvation, just like in the aftermath of a nuclear exchange.
The US government is spending billions of dollars on ammunition, armored vehicles, and weapons for DHS and local police. It is spending nothing on food for the people. They are preparing to control and contain us, and to shoot us, but not preparing to feed us. Why is that? You know the answer.

2. Let the country descend into chaos. A national economic collapse would be like a “national Katrina” but lasting far longer, and because it is nation-wide, it would be far more intense. The cities would implode. All the government would have to do is contain them and let them implode. in the midst of that chaos, they could also do a decapitation strike on the leaders of the liberty movement, but other than that, “They” could just sit back and wait a month, two months, or three to be really sure the people are at a maximum level of starvation, weakness, and chaos, and then:

3. Ride in like the cavalry, to “save” us by means of martial law and scrapping our constitution once-and-for all. They could blame the collapse on the so-called “free market” and on not having enough government power, and they could blame delays in relief on the “extremists” in the patriot movement (i.e. “we would have gotten the food trucks in sooner, but the extremists were ambushing our safety check-points and resisting the necessary relocation to relief camps”). Their ready to go solution would be a world-wide version of the Fed, and a world wide government. People would be told to “just turn in your guns, and you’ll get food” and “just turn in the extremists, and you’ll get food.”

ADDITIONAL ANALYSIS:
To the above, we now add Brandon Smith’s insight that with a war in Syria, the elites can trigger an economic collapse with a war – with Russia and China using economics as a weapon in retaliation. All China would have to do is dump US treasuries and refuse to trade with US dollars. That would begin the final death-spiral of the dollar.

The Chinese would be blamed for the collapse, rather than the banksters. “They” would tell the American people that the evil Chinese are to blame for the death of the dollar, and anyone who resists the “emergency measures” by the US government would be accused of aiding the enemy. They would say “domestic extremists took advantage of the Chinese economic attack on us to push their own racist and extremist anti-government agenda, making the collapse worse by attacking peace-keepers and international relief volunteers, and by attacking and resisting US officials who were trying to restore law and order.”

It is because of the systemic weakness of the American people, and our strategic checkmate position of having no strategic food storage and no effective local security, that we feel the need to take Oath Keepers operational and put our focus on each chapter being a training cadre to get their communities as prepared and organized as possible in whatever time we have left.

We urge you to presume the worst in the short term, and to work in three or four month sprints – assume that a collapse will be triggered this fall/winter and do all you can to get yourselves and your communities ready.

If it doesn’t happen in the next four months, then do another sprint, of three or four more months of preparation. And keep going until it happens – which it will eventually, no matter what anyone does. The dollar is doomed.

We encourage each individual to build a food reserve, to set aside food for their neighbors (10% of their food is for others), and to have basic communications (at least a hand-held dual band radio), basic medical, and water purification, shelter, and weapons and ammo. We will post more details on our recommendations for preparedness in a follow-up post.

Everyone is encouraged to use the above team building model and template to build a team within their family, extended family, and friends, and to then do the same in their neighborhoods, and in their civic organizations. From the individual, to the family, neighborhood, civic org, town, county, and state. Bottom up.

PS - As a reminder and clarification, from the beginning of Oath Keepers we have had two prongs to our mission:

1. Reinforce the oath-keeping of the current serving.

However, that aspect of our mission has still not gotten the attention it deserves among our members. All too often I see and hear members describing their mission as just “RTI” to the current serving and not fully implementing the other half of our strategy.

So, to bring that second prong of our mission back where it belongs – with equal attention paid to it along with RTI to the current serving – we will be including the Operation Sleeping Giant mission on our main website, rather than having it on some sister-site (which is not getting it done).

And, most importantly, we will be instructing our members, and our local and state chapters, to form up into operational mutual-aid and community-aid teams, just like we are asking the veterans groups to do. Some of our local chapters are already doing this, but we need to make it a nation-wide effort, and a main part of our mission.

We have been asking VFW halls, Marine Corps League halls, etc. to see themselves as a unit, as a source of stability and aid to their communities, as the pool of manpower that can serve as a civil defense unit for their town and county, as the Sheriff’s Posse, and as a pool of manpower that can serve as the militia for their community (preferably established by formal act of their city or county government). Likewise for churches, neighborhood watches, etc.

If we are going to ask veterans groups, and neighborhood watches, to see themselves as such a unit, then we need to do the same within our own org, and especially within our local chapters at the town and county level. That way, when we talk to veterans groups, we won’t be asking them to do anything that we are not doing ourselves, and we can also work out the bugs and have a working model for what we want them to do.

The ultimate goal is not to have all the veterans join Oath Keepers and have a bunch of Oath Keepers teams doing all the work in each town and county. Instead, the ultimate goal is for us to help them get their already existing veterans orgs organized into well trained (and training), well equipped, and organized teams. And, even broader than that, the goal is to enlist their help in then establishing strong neighborhood watches throughout their community, and then strong town and county level civil-defense units, posse, and ultimately, strong town and county militia, on the way to fully restoring the state militia.
As I said above, think of this as a Special Forces type mission. SF can do direct action, but their primary job, and what makes them a serious force multiplier, is to train and then lead others.

An SF A team is first and foremost a cadre of teachers, who help organize and train others to take care of themselves.

That is how we should see ourselves. Our primary job is not to have Oath Keepers try to be the security force in our towns and counties, but to help the entire community, and key parts of it, get their crap wired tight so they can take care of themselves. That way, we are a force multiplier, much like SF. Trust me, our enemies will not be happy about us doing this! They would much rather we try to form ourselves into some exclusive, members-only “militia” that will only get so big. They don’t want us going into already existing veterans orgs and reactivating those veterans and helping them turn their local VFW into a working unit. Nor do they want us to help folks establish effective neighborhood watches (with teeth) and effective mutual aid associations in churches, Tea Party groups, and at the town and county level. Nor do they want us to help form up a posse to back a good sheriff.

So, let’s do what they don’t want us to do.

And let’s lead by example for the following reasons:

1. So we walk our talk. We can say with a straight face that we are not asking anyone else to do anything we are not doing ourselves.
2. So we have a working model of what we want other groups to do, where we work out the bugs on what works, and what doesn’t, and which they can adopt as an easy, “turn-key” solution, with our recommended structure, SOPs, recommended training priorities, and equipment lists. Of course, they can adapt and modify what we do to their particular needs, but at least we can offer them a good start by our own example.

3. So we have a solid training cadre of specialists in key skills who can then work to replicate themselves both within our org and also within the broader community. And a big part of that replication will be to get other veterans orgs to realize they already have members of their halls who have unique knowledge who can serve as their own version of an operational team as well as a cadre of trainers who then go out and train others in the community.

Because Ben Bernanke's public persona is as mild as milk, the transformation in American governance in which he has participated is imperfectly understood and hence insufficiently deplored. The change is dramatized by two recent developments.

One was the campaigning by several constituencies for and against what supposedly were the two leading candidates -- Larry Summers and Janet Yellen -- to replace Bernanke as chairman of the Federal Reserve. The Fed can no longer be considered separated from politics.

The second, and related, development is the semantic infiltration of journalism by language that ratifies the Fed's increasingly grandiose role. A Financial Times column on Yellen, now Bernanke's presumptive successor, described her as "poised to take the tiller of the U.S. economy." Oh? The economy has a tiller? And with it the Fed chairman can steer the economy? Who knew? On The Atlantic website, a columnist defends the Fed's recent decision not to follow through on earlier intimations about reducing its monthly purchases of $85 billion in mortgage and treasury bonds. This, the columnist said, illustrates the Fed's admirable "nimbleness." A touch on the tiller here, a nimble reversal there -- these express the fatal conceit of an institution that considers itself capable of, and responsible for, fine-tuning the nation's $15.7 trillion economy.

Slowing the Fed's bond purchases is called "tapering," which means more modest "quantitative easing." This is how governments talk when trying not to be understood. By continuing the pace of "easing" -- printing money -- the Fed has acknowledged that its fine-tuning has failed. The nimble, tiller-touching Fed assumed it would be more successful at reducing unemployment.

Well, to err is human. To assume that a few government officials can and should steer America's vast, globally connected economy -- hundreds of millions of people making trillions of decisions a day -- is a kind of confidence peculiar to the progressive temperament. In December 2010, Bernanke had this exchange with Scott Pelley of CBS' "60 Minutes"-

Bernanke: "We could raise interest rates in 15 minutes if we have to. So, there really is no problem with raising rates, tightening monetary policy, slowing the economy, reducing inflation at the appropriate time."

Pelley: "You have what degree of confidence in your ability to control this?"

Bernanke: "One hundred percent."

Bernanke once hoped that economists might (in John Maynard Keynes' words) "get themselves thought of as humble, competent people on a level with dentists." But Bernanke speaks the heroic language of a central planner, talking about the Fed's tasks of "economic management" and "economic engineering."

Of course he has confidence in the Fed's abstract power to end zero interest-rate policy (ZIRP). Easier said than done. Rep. Kevin Brady, R-Texas, chairman of the Joint Economic Committee of Congress, notes that four years of ZIRP has become "monetary morphine" for Wall Street, which is addicted. The day the Fed reneged on its hints of tapering, Wall Street responded euphorically -- the Dow soared 147 points.

ZIRP, which Yellen ardently supports, is trickle-down economics: Money, searching for yields higher than bonds offered under ZIRP, floods into stocks, the rising value of which supposedly creates a "wealth effect" -- feelings of prosperity that stimulate spending and investing among the 10 percent who own about 80 percent of all stocks.

ZIRP also makes the Fed an indispensable enabler of big government. By making borrowing, and hence deficits, cheap, ZIRP facilitates the political class's bipartisan strategy of delivering current benefits while deferring costs. ZIRP also provides cheap credit to big government's partner, big business.

Originally, in 1913, the Fed's mission was price stability -- preserving the currency as a store of value. In 1978, Congress created the "dual mandate," instructing the Fed to maximize employment. This supposedly authorizes the Fed to manipulate the stock market, part of Bernanke's inflation of the dual mandate into "promoting a healthy economy." Is a particular distribution of income unhealthy? The Fed will tell us.

The next Fed chair will put her or his hand on the economy's imaginary tiller after politically muscular constituencies campaigned for her or his candidacy. What will this helmsman do when, say, the homebuilders and others in the construction industry clamor pre-emptively against any retreat from ZIRP?

The Fed has become the model of applied progressivism, under which power flows to clever regulators who operate independent of political control. The Fed is, however, a creation of Congress, which may not forever refrain from putting a bridle and snaffle on a Fed that increasingly allocates credit, wealth and opportunity.

What a "claim" huh?

Let me explain how / why I think this is true..

I have been an above average forex trader for most of this year (2013)..

For a 4 month period of time (preceding the article below) from 12/22/2012 through 04/22/2013 I had a trading loss of -196 pips.

Which works out to close to -49 pips per month (196 / 4), or -12.25 pips per week (196 / 16).

I run a fairly small FX account where a single pip has a value of 0.10 (microlot) so on a monetary basis here we are talking about fairly close to B/E trading over this 4 month period that amounted to -($4.90) USD per month or -($1.23) USD per week. While not breaking the bank, obviously not a lot to "live on" ;)

Then I wrote and published this article on my blog.. --> Wednesday, May 22, 2013 READ THIS! And TRY to understand it..

Since that post, ie; from May 22, 2013 to Sept 26, 2013 my trading numbers have been nothing short of amazing..

From May 22, 2013 (the day the above article was posted on my blog) to Sept 26, 2013 my pip profit has been +16,878 pips

I still trade microlots so I end up here with +4,219 pips per month ($422.00 USD) or about 1,406 pips per week ($140.00 USD)

For the sake of comparison my pip count (See: How I count pips) (again at a dime per pip) between 01/01/2012 through 01/01/2013 was -14,207 pips so I lost about $1,421.00 USD over the course of the preceding year.

On 9/11 in 2001 19 #terrorists (allegedly) killed 3,000 Americans in "the worst terror attack ever on American soil".

Sept 11 this year, 2013, marks the 12th anniversary of that unfortunate event.

We have been "at war" (though never actually declared other than for buzzwords ie; The War on Terror) in the middle east for the past 12 years as a result of that single "terrorist attack".

If we take 3,000 [American lives] / 12 years, we get an "average" of 250 Americans per year killed by evil terrorists.. (If you like you can throw Maj Hasan's contribution in here too but it won't change the result).

When we look at the latest data for suicides by military personnel we see..

US military suicides have never been so high since data was recorded: up to 349 for 2012.

One doesn't have to excel in math to see that, on a per year basis, more military personnel, on average, kill themselves than Americans who have been killed by terrorists.

Past 12 years average number of Americans killed by terrorists = 250

2012 number of suicides by military personnel = 349

This is the human cost, saying nothing about the [#fiat] $$ cost of all U.S. military action(s) in the middle east, northern Africa, wherever..

Martial law occurs when the military or militarized law enforcement replaces civilian authorities in order to impose military rule during an emergency. Civil liberties are suspended. In the United States, a pivot point that signals martial law is the suspension of habeas corpus – the right to a hearing on whether an imprisonment is lawful. In practice, habeas corpus means a person cannot be imprisoned without legitimate charges and due process. The U.S. Constitution recognizes the suspension of habeas corpus as an identifying feature of martial law in Article I, Section 9, “The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.”

Obama is preparing to declare martial law in America. He may decide not to do so but it is a prepared option that requires nothing more than the say-so of one man. The necessary Executive Order has been authorized. The National Defense Resources Preparedness grants Obama power over “resources and services needed to support...plans and programs” in “the event of a potential threat to the security of the United States.” The grant of authority is so complete that it includes the ability to commandeer technology, industry, and the nation's other resources down to its “food resources, livestock resources, and the distribution of farm equipment and commercial fertilizer.”

The legal framework for martial law is in place.

Why I may have to disappear from @twitter due to @WildBlue

I have absolutely loved being on twitter since 2009..

Why?

I have met tons of the greatest, smartest, most active people on the face of the planet from all around the world.

I love SO many of you!

However, since our move to the country and the associated switch from cable modem to satellite internet access (via WildBlue) I am running into somewhat severe problems..

I checked my bandwidth usage before the move, while we still had cable, and discovered that using the net in my "normal" manner was using something close to 150 gigabytes of bandwidth per month. Once we signed up for WildBlue satellite internet I was restricted to 7.5 gigabyte bandwidth per month limit.

Due mainly to trading (which is my real job) that amount of bandwidth was never going to work so we upgraded to the maximum amount available.. A whopping 25 gig per month vs the 150 gig I used previously with cable.

I have already modified my twitter usage by cutting out or way back on some of my favorite twitter activities such as the extensive use of music and videos to make a #point.. Plus TONS of research on the topics that interest me.. And wonderful interaction with all of you wonderful peeps..

Alas I'm afraid this has not been enough.. For instance this morning I have been on-line since about 6:30 and it's now 9:00 (my time) and I have already used more than 350 megabytes of bandwidth. On the 16th of the month I have used nearly 16 gigabytes of my allowed 25 gig per month. Month ends on the 28th so I have about 12 days to go with only about 9 gig left before being cut off.. This is after being highway ROBBED by WildBlue as I am now paying 3 TIMES as much for internet access as I was via cable..

I have to have a lot of bandwidth because I trade currencies (as most of you know). Currency trading is my JOB and it has been going well for the past few months as can be seen on the chart below..

Since trading is my job & twitter is my love I'm facing a difficult time dealing with this limited bandwidth situation.. However in the end, obviously, I must trade and for that reason it is twitter that is most likely to go by the wayside..

I count leverage where long pair A 3 lots +10 pips = 30 pips gain +10 x 3 lots, which of course could also be something like 1 lot +10, 1 lot +12 & 1 lot +20 would = +42 pips on total PA movement of 20 pips.

Today's Dirty Word: Coup - Click here for source

When is a coup not a coup? When it's "a complex and difficult issue." That was the unconvincing word from White House press secretary Jay Carney when he was asked about Egypt's latest coup. Poor Jay Carney. He may be the least credible White House press secretary since Ron Ziegler, who had the sticky job of defending the indefensible Richard Nixon as the truth closed in on his boss during the late unpleasantness known as Watergate.

When is a coup not a coup? When it's "a very fluid situation," according to State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki, demonstrating that you can always count on Foggy Bottom to evade a question.

When is a coup not a coup? To quote the president himself, who's supposed to be a great speaker, when it's "a transition to democracy." The way dictatorship leads to freedom? That rationale sounds like a party slogan out of George Orwell's 1984." Who says our leader doesn't have a sense of irony, even if unintentional?

By now, in its eagerness to avoid calling a coup a coup, this administration has turned the English language every which way but loose. By my ringside count, it's lost three falls out of three with the language, but keeps coming back for more punishment. Rather than accept the simple meaning of a word.

Last week, our secretary of state was still dutifully echoing the administration's line, explaining that a coup is no coup when it's just "restoring democracy." That was John Kerry speaking during a stopover in Pakistan. Presumably with a straight face. The show, or rather farce, must go on.

Webster's defines coup as "a sudden decisive exercise of force whereby the existing government is subverted," which would seem a fairly accurate description of what happened in Egypt on July 3, 2013. But when mere reality collides with the official line, it's reality that must give way.

Why? Because if the administration admitted that a coup is a coup, then it might have to respect American law, to wit Section 508 of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, which decrees that no American aid shall be granted "any country whose duly elected head of government is deposed by military coup or decree." Which is what happened in Egypt. But since the administration isn't about to cut off billions in American aid to the one institution now holding Egypt together, it's had to scramble to ignore the obvious.

When the law gets in the way of this administration's desires, it doesn't try to change the law -- that would be too forthright -- but the language. So it covers the subject in verbal fog and hopes nobody will notice. Naturally, everybody does. But anything is better than acknowledging the simple truth. However obvious.

To borrow a construction from Miss Gertrude Stein, linguist extraordinaire, a coup is a coup is a coup. No matter how many times the White House, the State Department, and all the king's horses and all the king's equivocators deny it.

Better to sound ridiculous than to use a dirty word like coup in this officially democratic age. That may be the root of the White House's problem. It seems to assume that all coups are alike, and all are to be condemned alike.

A look at the derivation of the word coup might lend some needed perspective: Coup is short for the French coup d'état, literally a blow of state. The first use of the term seems to have been in connection not with the overthrow of a legitimate ruler but with the restoration of his full and rightful authority:

When the young Louis XIII, all of 8 years old in 1610, succeeded his assassinated father, Henry IV, to the throne of France, his mother, Marie de' Medici, became regent. But the real power behind the throne and the villain of the story was her fellow Florentine, the notorious schemer Concino Concini, whose fine Italian hand was much resented both at court and throughout France.

So when Louis achieved his majority at 13 and chafed at the interference of this interloper, his boon companion the Duke of Luynes arranged to have Concini dispatched by the Royal Guard on a bridge over the Seine. (The official version was that the hated Concini was killed attempting to escape. Some things don't change in the annals of political intrigue.)

The story may be a little more complicated than that, but suffice it to say that it had a happy ending. Louis XIII would become king in more than name and go on to be known as Louis the Just -- but not before having the grace to thank those who had removed this inconvenient obstacle from his royal path. ("From this moment on I've become king.") He then had the good fortune, and good sense, to choose as his prime minister one of the great statesmen of French history: Cardinal Richelieu.

I am indebted to the Jewish Daily Forward's word man, who writes under the name Philologos, for the essence of this brief excursion into the history and etymology of coup, a noun that's gone from description to accusation, from neutral definition to forbidden word. Just as coups have gone from exceptional events to regular habit, as in Latin America and the Middle East.

Lest we forget, Turkey was transformed into a modern state by a military dictator called Kemal Ataturk, who brought a secular regime into being out of the wreckage of the decadent old Ottoman Empire in the last century. Egypt will be fortunate indeed if the coup staged by its current military rulers turns out half so well. For that matter, Turkey will be fortunate if it can stay a secular regime as its Islamist leadership sends that country back into an oppressive past.

The moral of this story: Not all coups are alike. Each deserves to be judged on its own merits -- and demerits. But to do that would require sophistication and candor, and this administration has shown little of either when it comes to the not-so-simple politics of the Middle East.

According to the Tanakh, Anakim are a race of giants descended from Anak.[1] They dwelt in the south of the land of Canaan, near Hebron (Gen. 23:2; Josh. 15:13). According to Genesis 14:5-6 they inhabited the region afterwards known as Edom and Moab in the days of Abraham.

Their formidable appearance, as described by the Twelve Spies sent to search the land, filled the Israelites with terror. The Israelites seem to have identified them with the Nephilim, the giants (Gen. 6:4; Num. 13:33) of the antediluvian age. Joshua finally expelled them from the land, excepting a remnant that found a refuge in the cities of Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod (Josh. 11:22). The Philistine giants whom David encountered (2 Sam. 21:15-22) were descendants of the Anakim.

Rephaite (Heb. plural רפאים, Rephaim) is a Northwest Semitic term that occurs in the Hebrew Bible as well as other, non-Jewish ancient texts from the region. It can refer either to a race of giants, or to dead ancestors who are residents of the Netherworld.

In the Hebrew Bible, "Rephaim" can describe an ancient race of giants in Iron Age Israel, or the places where these individuals were thought to have lived. See: Gen 14:5, 15:20; Deut 2:10-11, 2:18-21, 3:11; Josh 12:4, 13:12, 15:8, 17:15, 18:16; 2 Sam 5:18, 5:22, 23:13; 1 Chron 11:15, 14:9, 20:4. In the biblical narrative, the Israelites are instructed to exterminate the previous inhabitants of the "promised land," i.e. "Canaan," which include various named peoples, including some unusually tall/large individuals. See the passages listed above in the book of Joshua, and also Deut. 3:11, which implies that Og, the King of Bashan, was one of the last survivors of the Rephaim, and that his bed was 9 cubits long in ordinary cubits. (An ordinary cubit is the length of a man's forearm according to the New American Standard Bible, or approx. 18 inches, which differs from a royal cubit. This makes the bed over 13 feet long. Anak, according to Deut 2:11, was a Rephaite.

The area of Moab at Ar, (the region East of the Jordan) before the time of Moses, was also considered the land of the Rephaites. Deuteronomy 2:18-21 refers to the fact that Ammonites called them "Zamzummim", which is related to the Hebrew word זמזם, which literally translates into "Buzzers", or "the people whose speech sounds like buzzing." In Arabic the word زمزم (zamzama) translates as "to rumble, roll (thunder); murmur". As in Deut 2:11, the Moabites referred to them as the Emim.

Anak (/ˈeɪˌnæk/; Heb. 'nq spelt as both ענק and as הענק depending upon the reference) was a well-known figure during the conquest of Canaan by the Israelites who, according to the Book of Numbers, was a forefather of the Anakites[1][2] (Heb. Anakim) who have been considered "strong and tall," they were also said to have been a mixed race of giant people, descendants of the Nephilim (Numbers 13:33). The use of the word "nephilim" in this verse describes a crossbreed of God's sons and the daughters of man, as cited in (Genesis 6:1-2) and (Genesis 6:4). The text states that Anak was a Rephaite (Deuteronomy 2:11) and a son of Arba (Joshua 15:13). Etymologically, Anak means [long] neck.[3]
The sons of Anak are first mentioned in Numbers 13. The Israelite leader Moses sends twelve spies representing the twelve tribes of Israel to scout out the land of Canaan, and give a full report to the congregation. The spies enter from the Negev desert and journey northward through the Judaean hills until they arrive at the brook of Eshcol near Hebron, where reside Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, the sons of Anak. After the scouts have explored the entire land, they bring back samples of the fruit of the land; most notably a gigantic cluster of grapes which requires two men to carry it on a pole between them. The scouts then report to Moses and the congregation, that "the land indeed is a land flowing with milk and honey," but ten of the twelve spies discourage the Israelites from even attempting to possess the land, for they reported that the men were taller and stronger than the Israelites, and moreover the sons of Anak dwell in the land, and that they felt like grasshoppers in their presence.
The Anakites are later mentioned briefly in the books of Deuteronomy, Joshua, and Judges. In Joshua, Caleb, one of the twelve spies sent by Moses into Canaan, later drove out the descendants of Anak — his three sons — from Hebron, also called Kiriath Arba.
The Egyptian Execration texts of the Middle Kingdom[4] (2055-1650 BC) mention a list of political enemies in Canaan, and among this list are a group called the "ly Anaq" or people of Anaq. The three rulers of ly Anaq were Erum, Abiyamimu, and Akirum.[5] Anak could be related to the Sumerian god Enki.[citation needed] Robert Graves, considering the relationship between the Anakites and Philistia (Joshua 11:21, Jeremiah 47:5), identifies the Anakim with Anax, the giant ruler of the Anactorians in Greek mythology.[6]

A common belief which we share is that the "sons of
God" who did marry the "daughters of men" were fallen angels.
Why did God send the judgment of the Flood in the days of Noah? The strange events recorded in Genesis 6 were understood by the ancient rabbinical sources, as well as the Septuagint translators, as referring to fallen angels procreating weird hybrid offspring with human women-known as the Nephilim. The Hebrew word Nephelim (plural of nephel) (Nephilim) literally means "rejects". The Hebrew plural for Nephites would be "Nephi'im".


Satan probably put this plan to interrupt Abraham's "seed into motion, as soon as it was made known that the Seed of the Woman (Christ) was to come through ABRAHAM.

Often this seems such an impossible task I have, to relate so much in such short brief spaces of time / space. I have done so much research and retained, I believe, most of what seems important. From the bible itself to the book of Enoch which was left out, to the Nephilim / fallen angels & Anunnaki / Nibiru / Planet X. From the true prophets to the prophetic music of Tool. The glories of space and the glories of God. Prayer / meditation / communication via God's true gift to humanity = DNA. The lies of the world that swirl around us in a matrix not of our own design. So much we can remember of an ancient past so filled with wonder yet we forget.. it all. The Sumerians / Anunnaki with which humanity / time may have begun through the genetic engineering of pre-human forms. It's quite a fantasy-land in which I seem to live but I like it here just fine ;)

Yet my focus today, as small and insignificant as it may be, is on simply remembering some of the things we have forgotten.. Or, as Tool so elequently points out in the lyrics above.. Fuck our short memories..

Out of space, out of place, out of time.. My #messages are incoherent, chaotic and cryptic. By design? Not that I know of.. only that I am compelled to relate, to relay.

All of the history of humanity is within each and every one of us.. Lying there, untapped, resources not used but ignored. Through ignorance or by design.
