The Shame of Deference

WASHINGTON — Two of the three most infamous Supreme Court decisions were erased by events. The Civil War and postwar constitutional amendments effectively overturned Dred Scott v. Sandford (1857), which held that blacks could never have rights that whites must respect. Plessy v. Ferguson (1896), which upheld legally enforced segregation, was undone by court decisions and legislation.

Korematsu v. United States (1944), which affirmed the president’s wartime power to sweep Americans of disfavored racial groups into concentration camps, elicited a 1988 congressional apology. Now Peter Irons, founder of the Earl Warren Bill of Rights Project at the University of California, San Diego, is campaigning for a Supreme Court “repudiation” of the Korematsu decision and other Japanese internment rulings.
A repudiation would be unprecedented, but an essay that Irons is circulating among constitutional law professors whose support he seeks is timely reading in today’s context of anti-constitutional presidencies, particularly regarding war powers.

On Feb. 19, 1942, President Franklin Roosevelt authorized the military to “prescribe military areas … from which any or all persons may be excluded.” So 110,000 Americans of Japanese ancestry, two-thirds of them born here, were sent to camps in desolate Western locations. Supposedly, this was a precaution against espionage and sabotage. Actually, it rested entirely on the racial animus of Gen. John DeWitt, head of the Western Defense Command.

Using government records, Irons demonstrates that because senior officials, including Solicitor General Charles Fahy, committed “numerous and knowing acts of governmental misconduct,” the court based its decision on “records and arguments that were fabricated and fraudulent.” Officials altered and destroyed evidence that would have revealed the racist motives for the internments. And to preserve the pretext of a “military necessity” for the concentration camps, officials suppressed reports on the lack of evidence of disloyalty or espionage by Japanese- Americans.

The 1943 “Final Report” on Japanese “evacuation,” prepared under DeWitt’s direction and signed by him, said a Japanese invasion was probable, that “racial characteristics” of Japanese- Americans predisposed them to assist the invasion, and that is was “impossible” to distinguish loyal from disloyal Japanese-American citizens, if there were any: “The Japanese race is an enemy race and while many second- and third-generation Japanese born on United States soil, possessed of United States citizenship, have become ‘Americanized,’ the racial strains are undiluted.”

College of the Ozarks encourages debt-free students School drops loan programs

School drops loan programs

By Emily Younker
Globe Staff Writer

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. — April Gregory spends part of each week in a warm, sometimes stuffy laundry on the campus of College of the Ozarks, washing, drying and pressing clothes and linens.

The college sophomore from Harrison, Ark., also maintains an off-campus job and has held summer jobs, but she’s not complaining. Her jobs — plus a new no-debt policy at her school — will ensure that she graduates in a few years without any debt to her name.

“It’s definitely a lot of hard work,” said Gregory, who is majoring in animal science and agriculture business. “You’re just working for your education so you don’t have to pay it off. Just to know that you’re graduating and you can focus on getting a place to live, or a job, and you don’t have to pay (your education) off — you can focus on other things, like a car. We will have more freedom than being tied down to debt.”

During a time when most students are graduating from college with loan debt, College of the Ozarks, a private, four-year school of nearly 1,400 students near Branson, is swimming against the tide. It has long discouraged student debt by not participating in any federal or state loan programs, and its president, Jerry C. Davis, recently announced that the college will no longer honor private bank loans for students.

“Basically what we’re saying is if you want to borrow money, go somewhere else,” he said. “Trust me, there are plenty of colleges that will loan you money. This is not one of them.”

Davis said that in recent years, an average of 90 percent of the college’s students were graduating debt-free thanks in part to the school’s debt policies. But administrators had also been noticing a slight uptick in the number of private loans being taken out to help cover college costs, he said.

“We don’t think that’s a good idea because debt is bad,” he said. “We would not be doing these kids a favor by letting them get into debt. You could argue it’s a disservice. You’re just giving them another brick to swim with when they get out.”

‘Hard Work U’

Under the system that has given the college its “Hard Work U” nickname, students pay for their tuition, which was $17,600 for the 2011-12 academic year, by working on campus each semester for 15 hours per week, plus two 40-hour work weeks. They fill a variety of roles, including upkeep of the scenic campus, staffing the college’s restaurant and lodge, operating the on-campus laundry business, labor of new on-campus construction and tending to the school’s dairy and beef farms.

Any remaining tuition balances not covered through the work education program are filled in with a student’s grants, if eligible, and a scholarship from the college, which boasts on its website that “students should owe absolutely no cash for tuition.”

“It’s better for students to work than it is for students to go in debt,” Davis said.

The college also has a summer program for eligible students to work 12 40-hour work weeks at their campus job to cover the costs of room and board fees, which total $5,900.

Davis said fewer than 100 students are expected to be affected next year by the new policy excluding private loans, which they generally used toward room and board. To assist with the transition, he said the college will increase the number of slots in its summer work program from about 490 to roughly 550.

“At least there’s going to be one college to stand up and say: ‘There’s a better way to do this,’” he said. “And it’s called work.”

‘150 steps ahead’

Amanda Hart, a sophomore from Jefferson City who is majoring in elementary education, works on the “guest experience team,” greeting visitors to the college lodge and also taking responsibility for its cleaning. She said that work, plus a scholarship and her college savings, cover her tuition, while she hopes to be accepted into the summer work program this year to pay for her room and board.

Although she is still a few years away from graduation, she said she expects to obtain her bachelor’s degree without incurring any debt — and that was a major reason she chose College of the Ozarks.

“I wanted to be able to go wherever there was a need (for teachers) and not worry about making enough to pay off student loans,” she said.

Ruben De La Rosa, a senior from Pleasant Hill, expects to graduate next month with a degree in criminal justice with an emphasis in law enforcement. Having worked two campus jobs, as both a server and a student manager in the college’s restaurant, Dobyns Dining Room, he said he plans to take next year off to work and save some additional cash before pursuing his goal of working in the CIA.

De La Rosa didn’t choose College of the Ozarks because of its work program or debt-free policies, but he said he now considers himself lucky to be on the cusp of graduation without any debt weighing him down.

“Truth be told, it’s a very big blessing to be here,” he said. “As I’m getting closer to graduation, it’s such a relief to know I’m only taking care of my own personal stuff (financially). We’re like 150 steps ahead of the average college student.”

No other way to pay

At other schools in the region, loans are still very much a part of the average college student’s life.

“For a lot of students, if they didn’t have access to those student loans, there wouldn’t be any way they could pay to go to school,” said Michael Woodrum, office manager for financial assistance at Pittsburg (Kan.) State University.

Woodrum said Pell and other federal and state grants help cover the cost of tuition for eligible students, and loans are often used by students — especially those who are just above the threshold of grant eligibility — to help fill in the gaps of their college costs.

“For a lot of them, it’s the student loans that really make the difference in them being able to attend Pitt State,” he said.

Woodrum said the university offers a financial planning component in its freshman orientation class, which is required of first-year students. Students who borrow are also required to complete an Education Department-sponsored online counseling session that informs them of interest rates, expected monthly payments, general information on borrowing and more, he said.

Officials report a similar reliance on loans among many students at Missouri Southern State University, where the typical four-year student borrows about $19,600 for a bachelor’s degree.

“We do realize that many students have to utilize student loans to come up with the difference (in college costs) that their family cannot provide or other grants and scholarships don’t cover,” said Becca Diskin, director of the financial aid office.

Diskin said incoming students receive information on loans through their freshman orientation class and Southern Welcome, the summer orientation program. Students who have borrowed also are required to complete counseling before they graduate, working one-on-one with a debt counselor on campus to go over what their payments might look like and what their repayment options are, she said.

The university’s default counselor also works with students who have already graduated but who need advice or assistance with their loans, Diskin said.

Average student debt

A report released last fall by the Project on Student Debt noted that students in the class of 2011 who borrowed in college graduated with an average of $26,600 in loan debt, up from $25,250 the year before.

Strange #Coincidences - the Original Substance, #God, #prayer, #trading & guided missiles

More strange coincidences..

I had a small book which I read for the first time maybe 2 or 3 years ago.. I found it very fascinating as it spoke about an "original substance" from which everything is made

"Everything you see on earth is made from one original substance, out of which all things proceed."

"The formless stuff is intelligent; it is stuff which thinks. It is alive, and is always impelled toward more life."

After I read it I set it aside.

A couple of years later I desired to read it again and looked for it here at the house.

I searched pretty hard for it. In the office and, eventually, through boxes stored in the garage to no avail.

Couldn't find it anywhere..

I don't know if I displaced it or loaned it out to someone. I may have loaned it to my sister but I really don't recall.

At that point my problem was I could recall nothing of any importance to help me find the book again. I couldn't remember the title of it, or the author. Nor could I even figure out a proper way to search for it on google. The book was more about a spiritual concept than a particular topic / subject.

All I could recall about it was that it suggested, as stated above, an intelligent formless original substance from which everything is made.

And I remembered one particular passage of the book that I found to be a stunning description of the way the #human #mind SHOULD work.

I'm paraphrasing but it went something like..

We have the #ability to properly impress a particular #goal into our #mind in such a way as to #program our mind to autopilot in search of a #solution. To constantly work in our favor, in the background, to achieve the desired goal.

This was indicated by comparing the procedure itself to a guided missile.

The way a guided missile works is it has a pre-programmed target, or goal. As it is in flight a computer constantly tests the trajectory of the missile against the position of the target. As adjustments become necessary small servo motors activate to keep the missile on the right path so it can successfully reach it's goal.

I found that to be a fascinating concept. It stuck in my mind and was behind my strong desire to reread the book.

It seemed to me that might be the perfect technique to use when trading forex / financial markets.

Yesterday I took the day off. No twitter, no trading (until later lol Short #AUDJPY & #CADJPY) but spent a portion of the day with my wife, son and daughter garage / yard / rummage saling (something we enjoy as a #fun #hobby ;)

I want to interject a, seemingly unrelated, short story here that ended up being related to the main theme of this post (if you can figure out what that is LMAO).

Not only do we enjoy going to yard sales but also antique stores and flea markets.

I am a voracious collector of books and that is where I normally spend the majority of time in flea markets. We have a little family #joke about one particular book at one particular flea market. I first ran across it many months ago. The title is "The Secret" and it promises to solve any and all #issues in life ;) But the owners of the booth want $5.00 #USD for it. So, the first time I found it, I joked to my wife and son about how this one book contained the solutions to everything in the entire history of humanity but kidding about that not being worth 5 bucks. So I didn't buy it ;) A few months later I saw it again, in the same booth with the same price tag and joked about it again along the same lines as before. (end short story).

While my son buys a lot of movies, CDs and video games, I often buy books, lots of them. I pay 0.50 to a dollar for a lot of very old books and also for newer books of interest. Like yesterday I bought "The best recipe Grilling & Barbecue" by the Editors of COOK'S Illustrated Magazine. A 2001, $30.00 cook book for $1.00

At one sale I ran across a book titled "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles.

Book Description

Publication Date: April 11, 2013
The Science of Getting Rich is the classic guide to creating wealth through the Law of Attraction. First published in 1910, it inspired Rhonda Byrne’s bestselling book and movie, The Secret. According to Wallace D. Wattles, “There is a science of getting rich, and it is an exact science, like algebra or arithmetic. There are certain laws which govern the process of acquiring riches; once these laws are learned and obeyed by any man, he will get rich with mathematical certainty.” Those laws are revealed in this book.

For some reason I was attracted to it after just reading the back cover.

To my surprise as I immediately began reading it, in the car, between sale stops, it was the book I had misplaced!

And not only that either.. On the front of the book it says "The Book That Inspired the Bestseller - The Secret"! The very same book I had joked about in the flea market.

So was I attracted to it? Was it attracted to me? Were we attracted to each other?

Mere interrelated coincidences?

Here is the gist of The Science of Getting Rich..

"No thought of form can be impressed upon Original Substance without causing the creation of the form."

"There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in it's original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of he universe.

A thought, in this substance, produces the thing that is imagined by the thought.

Man can form things in his thought, and, by impressing his thought upon Formless Substance, can cause the thing he thinks about to be created."

I'm an obsessive compulsive about acquiring knowledge.

"Obsessive–compulsive personality disorder (OCPD) is a personality disorder characterized by a pervasive pattern of preoccupation with orderliness, perfectionism, mental and interpersonal control at the expense of flexibility, openness, and efficiency. In contrast to people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), people with OCPD feel that their behaviors are correct and desirable."

I believe in God and #history though my beliefs might be found by many to be quite unorthodox.

However, one thing that I have struggled with a great deal has been the #concept of #prayer.

Most of the prayer I have heard in my lifetime has seemed by #rote.. (Noun
Mechanical or habitual repetition of something to be learned: "a poem learned by rote".)

So, as I have experienced quite a #Spiritual revival over the course of the past few years, I have been trying to reconnect with / explore the concept of prayer.

However my problem in doing so has been that when I attempt to pray it seems oddly as if I am just "talking to myself". I have had a very difficult time getting past that feeling.

I do a lot of research on "weird crap" lol And "in my own mind" (a place where I exist often) I seem to have now connected the concept of prayer to other concepts in an effort to deepen my understanding of it. Such as; I do a lot of research into ancient Sumerian civilization and texts. Stories of the Anunnaki / Planet X / Nibiru. Dead sea scrolls / Isiah and other prophets. The bible. The book of Enoch. Egyptian history / pyramids. The Ancient Aliens television program. Much more ;)

It seems like if the ancient Sumerian creation stories are taken literally, as #historic fact, they can easily be tied to prayer.

The story, briefly, is that "long, long ago" the Anunnaki created #humanity, in their image, through genetic engineering, so as to have slaves to do the hard work of gold mining on planet earth. If this is accepted as being truth then it seems to me that it would make sense to think of prayer as being a way to directly communicate with the alien DNA that we all possess. Which, at least in theory, is also very similar to talking to yourself.

There are some pretty amazing sounding references to prayer in the bible. This from Jesus Himself..

Mar 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Mar 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mar 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Mar 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Which is remarkably similar to..

Plagiarism? Again with coincidence?

At any rate, and laugh if you want because I don't care, I have been praying with more regularity for the past few weeks and guess what?

My trading has improved a great deal.

I don't pray for good trades.

I pray for closeness to #God, for access to the knowledge, wisdom and understanding so endorsed by the bible itself.

So much to learn about, understand, that it's a very daunting task.. But I still love the chase ;)

Thanks for reading

Egypt Pyramids - Secret Information, Knowledge, and Wisdom

The mysterious Egypt pyramids are the most studied structures ever built. They tell a story of the past and future with it's mathematical accuracy and synchronicity of events using the stars and constellations embedded within the design. The combination of mathematics, astronomy, architecture, and sacred geometry used are interwoven in such a way that there are no coincidences but rather interrelated concepts that leave you wondering. We really are in possession of the keys to the universe. The further you look into space the further you are going back into time and many ancient cultures around the world and today have the ability to predict astronomical events like planetary alignments and eclipses. This secret knowledge of the seasons using astronomy was passed down and secretly used for farming and agriculture planting and harvesting information and worshiped as part of their religion and used for control and power. More importantly, this secret knowledge had to be passed down to only certain people of power in ways hidden from ordinary people. The great pyramid structure geometry is an all encompassing code of information which can be decoded using mathematics and the right numerical structure key.

I've about HAD it with this SHIT! #Target me?! Or what?! #FX #trading WEIRD SHIT! #conspiracy

Before you go running around looking for this clip BEWARE!

I heard about this on twitter & ended up on beforeitsnews.com to see an article about it.. Once on the page my computer was attacked by a virus (which my virus software caught).

Yes two episodes WERE edited together to SHOW the connection but the video was NOT a hoax! The episodes are very real.

In two separate episodes, in one Peter kills people at the Boston Marathon & in the other he teams up with a terrorist who sets off two bombs on a bridge.

It seems not only has FOX pulled the episode but SOMEONE is apparently attacking those who would even dare seek to read about it..

Fox pulls “Family Guy” episode after Boston Marathon bombing

A viral clip that showed Peter Griffin detonating two explosive devices forced the network to act VIDEO

Among productive messages of hope, inspiration and unity arising from the Boston Marathon explosions, there have, unfortunately, been some less helpful reactions — one being a conspiracy theory from conspiracy theorist extraordinaire Alex Jones, who claimed that the media knew about the bombing in advance. His proof? A doctored clip from the March 17 “Family Guy” episode, “Turban Cowboy,” in which Peter Griffin wins the Boston Marathon (by running over marathon participants in a car), and later befriends a terrorist whom he unknowingly aids in bombing a bridge. Though the two events are unrelated in the episode, the clip edited the scenes to make them seem connected — a “prediction” of the bombing.

As the edited clip began to circulate on social media, “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane was compelled to respond:

Seth MacFarlane ✔ @SethMacFarlane

The edited Family Guy clip currently circulating is abhorrent. The event was a crime and a tragedy, and my thoughts are with the victims.
12:16 PM - 16 Apr 2013

In response, Fox has pulled the episode from Hulu and Fox.com.

View the edited clip here:

And.. it's not ONLY this virus attack that happened to me today..

Awhile back, a few months ago, I had adjusted my FX #trading system to a point where it seemed to be consistently producing nice profits.

I tweeted my trades more or less live as I have always done on twitter. And the gains were pretty remarkable at the time.

Then I was verbally attacked and ridiculed over my current trade at the time, for days, by a twitter using trader (who I will not mention by name here) AND began experiencing computer problems.

Not one but BOTH of my MT4 [demo] accounts were reset to default and all my templates were deleted. ALL of my browsers stopped working. My machine seemed crippled.

To make a long story short I ended up having to junk my computer and replace it with a new one.

Fast forward to this week and TODAY..

After suffering through what, at one time, was about a 15% drawdown on a large amount (for me) of AUDJPY shorts I rallied back in the end to close the trade + about 1,700 pips (this includes leverage, cumulative pips for each lot held). And today I tweeted my USDJPY & GBPJPY shorts which produced about +650 pips this morning.

After my PC was attacked by a virus for daring view a story about The Family Guy my Windows start menu programs all VANISHED from the start menu and my trading software crashed and reset everything, including charts, to default.

This crap is SO f'ing scary that I have in the past and am again considering NOT tweeting my trades on twitter and / or NOT using twitter at all.

Yet I wonder.. Even if I were not on twitter would these strange attacks continue based solely on what I do on my computer and what I do with my trades?

I cannot "lay blame" on any particular person or entity for these strange and spooky attacks. But it seems to me that there may be a lot more in my (and maybe in yours too) computer than I am aware of..

Seems a LOT of weird shit is going on right now.. #BostonMarathon bombing, ricin in the capital..

Be on alert, pay attention to WTF is going on..

Obama's news conference was predictable #BostonMarathon

Obama's news conference was predictable..

When Obama appeared and stated that "we should not jump to conclusions" and omitted calling this an Islamic terrorist attack it came as no surprise to me.

15 or 20 YEARS from now #they MIGHT tell us something about the Hasan case and this case.. Who TF cares 15 years later right?

Hasan murdered 12 people in 2009.

And here's what Obama said..

Obama: 'Don't Jump to Conclusions' on Shooting

Making comments from the Rose Garden, Obama warned the nation not to 'jump to conclusions' about Nidal Malik Hasan's shooting rampage.

Nidel Hasan is, to this day, not labeled an #Islamic #terrorist but his case is considered "workplace violence" by the administration. The latest #news I have heard about that case is that we had to go to court before we could give him a free shave.

Lawmakers Blast Administration For Calling Fort Hood Massacre 'Workplace Violence'

Fort Hood Massacre Judge Removed for Forcing Nidal Hasan to Shave his Beard

Here's an Obama quote today at his news conference after the Islamic terrorist bombing (oops.. lol)

"We still do not know who did this or why, and people shouldn't jump to conclusions before we have all the facts," Obama said.

In other words.. "we'll get back to you on this in 15 or 20 years."

Hell.. I'm thinking if we ALL #convert to #Islam then never again will ANYONE have to go to jail.. LMAO

Semantics: The branch of linguistics & logic concerned with meaning

If you don't feel like reading the whole thing (and who would?! LMAO) the bold highlighted sections make for a much quicker, yet hopefully still informative, read. ;)

"God created us in His image" is clearly incorrect. NOTE:

Gen_1:26 And God said, Let "us" make (Genetic engineering / DNA modification NOTE:) man in "our" image, after "our" likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Tower of Babel:

Gen 11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

Gen 11:2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

Gen 11:3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.

Gen 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

Gen 11:5 "And the LORD came down" to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

Gen 11:6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and "they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do."

Gen 11:7 Go to, let "us" go down, "and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech."

Gen 11:8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

Gen 11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Gen 11:10 "These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:"

From The Book of Enoch:

Main article: 1 Enoch

The term "Watchers," is common in the Book of Enoch found among the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the Book of the Watchers is the name for one section of the book (1 Enoch 6-36). It occurs in the Aramaic fragments in the phrase irin we-qadishin, "Watchers and Holy Ones", known from Aramaic Daniel.[3] The Aramaic irin "watchers" is rendered as "angel" (Greek angelos, Coptic malah) in the Greek and Ethiopian translations, although the usual Aramaic term for angel malakha does not occur in Aramaic Enoch.[4] The dating of this section of 1 Enoch is around 2nd-1st Century BCE. This book is based on one interpretation of the Sons of God passage in Genesis 6, according to which angels married with human females, giving rise to a race of hybrids known as the Nephilim. The term irin is primarily applied to disobedient Watchers who numbered a total of 200, and of whom their leaders are named, but equally Aramaic iri ("watcher" singular) is also applied to the obedient archangels who chain them, such as Raphael (1 Enoch 22:6).

Genesis 6, the Sons of God

Main article: Sons of God

The watchers story in Enoch derives from the sixth chapter Genesis, where the "Origin of the Nephilim" is described and the "Sons of God" who beget them are mentioned:

When men began to multiply on earth and daughters were born to them, "the sons of God" saw how beautiful the daughters of man were, and so they took for their wives as many of them as they chose. Then the Lord said: "My spirit shall not remain in man forever, since he is but flesh. His days shall comprise one hundred and twenty years." At that time the Nephilim appeared on earth (as well as later), after the sons of God had intercourse with the daughters of man, who bore them sons. They were the heroes of old, the men of renown. (Genesis 6:1-4)

Here, the "sons of God" are given no specific name or function; they could represent fallen angels, heavenly beings / (ie; extraterrestrials) NOTE: that mate with human women. The Book of Enoch regards these as the same angels who are referred to as the Benei Ha-Elohim (Eng. Sons of God) in the Book of Genesis. According to this belief, their sins filled the Earth with violence and the world was destroyed as a result of their intervention.

Names of 1 Enoch Watchers

In the Book of Enoch, the watchers are angels dispatched to Earth to watch over the humans. They soon begin to lust for human women, and at the prodding of their leader Samyaza, they defect en masse to illicitly instruct and procreate among humanity. The offspring of these unions are the Nephilim, savage giants who pillage the earth and endanger humanity. "Samyaza and associates further taught their human charges arts and technologies such as weaponry, cosmetics, mirrors, sorcery, and other techniques that would otherwise be discovered gradually over time by humans, not foisted upon them all at once." Eventually God allows a Great Flood to rid the earth of the Nephilim, but first sends Uriel to warn Noah so as not to eradicate the human race. While Genesis says that the Nephilim remained "on the earth" even after the Great Flood, Jude says that the Watchers themselves are bound "in the valleys of the Earth" until Judgment Day. (See Genesis 6:4 and Jude 1:6, respectively)

There are 20 leaders in the Book of Enoch also called 1 Enoch the section that mentions them

“ 7. And these are the names of their leaders: Sêmîazâz, their leader, Arâkîba, Râmêêl, Kôkabîêl, Tâmîêl, Râmîêl, Dânêl, Êzêqêêl, Barâqîjâl, Asâêl, Armârôs, Batârêl, Anânêl, Zaqîêl, Samsâpêêl, Satarêl, Tûrêl, Jômjâêl, Sariêl. 8. These are their chiefs of tens." - R. H. Charles translation, The Book of the Watchers, Chapter VI. ”

These are the leaders of 200 angels in 1 Enoch that are turned into fallen Angels because they took wives, mated with human women, and taught forbidden knowledge.

Araqiel (also Arakiel, Araqael, Araciel, Arqael, Sarquael, Arkiel, Arkas) [5] taught humans the signs of the earth. However, in the Sibylline Oracles, Araqiel is referred to not as a fallen angel, or Watcher, but as one of the 5 angels who lead the souls of men to judgement, the other 4 being Ramiel, Uriel, Samiel, and Azazel.

Armaros (also Amaros) in Enoch I taught men the resolving of enchantments.

Azazel[6] taught men to make knives, swords, shields, and how to devise ornaments and cosmetics.

Gadriel taught the art of cosmetics.

Baraqel (Baraqiel) taught men astrology[7]

Bezaliel mentioned in Enoch I, left out of most translations because of damaged manuscripts and problematic transmission of the text.

Chazaqiel (sometimes Ezeqeel) taught men the signs of the clouds (meteorology).[5]

Kokabiel (also Kakabel, Kochbiel, Kokbiel, Kabaiel, and Kochab),[8] is a high-ranking, holy angel but, in general apocryphal lore and also in Enoch I, he is a fallen Watcher, resident of nether realms, and commands 365,000 surrogate spirits to do his bidding. Among other duties, he instructs his fellows in astrology.

Penemue[9] "taught mankind the art of writing with ink and paper," (How huge is that?! NOTE: and taught "the children of men the bitter and the sweet and the secrets of wisdom."

Sariel (also Suriel) taught mankind about the courses of the moon (at one time regarded as forbidden knowledge).[10]

Samyaza (also Shemyazaz, Shamazya, Semiaza, Shemhazi, Semyaza and Amezyarak) is one of the leaders of the fall from heaven.[11]

Shamsiel, once a guardian of Eden,[12] served as one of the 2 chief aides to the archangel Uriel (the other aide being Hasdiel) when Uriel bore his standard into battle, and is the head of 365 legions of angels and also crowns prayers, accompanying them to the 5th heaven. He is referred to[13] as one of the Watchers. He is a fallen angel who teaches the signs of the sun.[14]

Catholic Church:

In what must be a historic first, a high official of the Vatican and a Hebrew scholar discussed the issue of Extraterrestrials and the Creation of Man, and though different from each other in upbringing, background, religion and methodology, nevertheless arrived at common conclusions:

* Yes, Extraterrestrials can and do exist on other planets
* Yes, they can be more advanced than us
* Yes, materially, Man could have been fashioned from a pre-existing sentient being.

The Sumerians:

Meet the Anunnaki:

Ancient Sumerian texts define the Anunnaki as "those who from heaven to Earth came" described as royal blood descending from the heavens and in certain contexts, the fallen angels or Nephilim. By comparative religions, it's believed the book of Genesis (600 BCE) was extrapolated from the Sumerian Epic of Creation believed to occur between 6000-8500 BCE. Records are also filled with great details of Anunnaki depicted as watchers, evident in later Biblical texts by Daniel and Jubilees. The ancient Sumerians sometimes described these deities as proprietors of mineral extractions from Earth, using the human race to replenish invaluable resources on the angel's home planet according to some researchers. Anunnaki were a heavenly council of seven, which may be interpreted as the first known written record referencing organized sons of god.

By historical accounts, the Anunnaki were the Gods & Goddesses who met occasionally in the heavens to indirectly determine the fate of mankind if by no fault of their own. Abraham's father Terah is considered as one who served the fallen angels, as the sons of the gods/goddesses, found in Psalms with reference to the Nephilim. Sharing part of the Babylonian creation myth as the children of Anu and Ki, the Anunnaki are associated with Earth's fate in Zecharia Sitchin's stories of Planet X (Nibiru, the 12th planet), and its return to over a long elliptical orbit. The Hopi tribe believe in a similar prophecy called the Blue Kachina, a time when the star people return to oversee a changing cycle of life on Earth.

When examining mysterious Anunnaki artifacts one might notice a unique resemblance to Ancient Egypt's interpretations of gods and goddesses. Angelic characteristics, the sun disc, and stories of the afterlife from the Book of the Dead hint strongly at an ancient Sumerian influence. Exactly how the Egyptians were in contact with the Sumerians, or which civilization was established first remains largely in debate. Archaeological evidence does propose both cultures may have coexisted during a period around 3,000 to 5,000 years ago by examining Mesopotamian temples and their distinct relation to Mastabas of the first and second Egyptian dynasties. There are several Egyptian artifacts which bare concepts of the Sumerian culture, yet there are also indications suggesting the possibility Egypt may have influenced Sumer during their state of unification. Historical time-lines show the Egyptians established foreign trade routes, secured precious stones, and designed sophisticated structures well before Sumerians. Yet, dating when the Sumerian epics took place establishes a time well before the settlement of Nineva 8,000 years ago by a culture who shares similar characteristics as both Egyptians and Sumerians, the Assyrians.

The Hopi Indian Blue Kachina Prophecy

Hopi Indian Elder:

"You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is THE HOUR.

And there are things to be considered...

Where are you living?

What are you doing?

What are your relationships?

Are you in right relation?

Where is your water?

Know your garden.

It is time to speak your Truth.

Create your community.

Be good to each other.

And do not look outside yourself for the leader.

Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said, "This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water. And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate.

At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally. Least of all, ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.

The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we've been waiting for.

Astrophysicist Steven Hawking:

Hawking: Aliens may pose risks to Earth
Astrophysicist says extraterrestrials likely exist, but could be dangerous

Dave Einsel / AP

Astrophysicist Stephen Hawking says aliens are out there, but it could be too dangerous for humans to interact with extraterrestial life.

LONDON — British physicist Stephen Hawking says aliens are out there, but it could be too dangerous for humans to interact with extraterrestrial life.
Hawking claims in a new documentary titled "Into the Universe With Stephen Hawking" that intelligent alien life forms almost certainly exist — but warns that communicating with them could be "too risky."

"We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn’t want to meet," Hawking said. "I imagine they might exist in massive ships ... having used up all the resources from their home planet. Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach.”

The 68-year-old scientist said a visit by extraterrestrials to Earth might well be like Christopher Columbus arriving in the Americas, "which didn't turn out very well for the Native Americans."

He speculated that most extraterrestrial life would be similar to microbes, or small animals. Microbial life might exist far beneath the Martian surface, where liquid water is thought to trickle through the rock. Marine creatures might also conceivably live in huge oceans of water beneath a miles-thick layer of ice on Europa, a moon of Jupiter.

But if a scientific census could be extended beyond our solar system to the rest of the Milky Way and beyond, the odds in favor of life's existence rise dramatically, Hawking said.

"To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational," he said. “The real challenge is to work out what aliens might actually be like."

Hawking said an attack by interstellar predators is just one of the dismaying possibilities in the search for intelligent life beyond Earth. Another possibility is that intelligence itself might be inimical to life. Hawking pointed out that humanity has put itself on the edge of its own destruction by creating nuclear bombs and other weapons of mass destruction.

"If the same holds for intelligent aliens, then they might not last long," he said. "Perhaps they all blow themselves up soon after they discover that E=mc2. If civilizations take billions of years to evolve, only to vanish virtually overnight, then sadly we've next to no chance of hearing from them."

Hawking has become one of the world's best-known scientists — not just because of his theoretical work on cosmology and black holes, but also because he has achieved so much while coping with a paralyzing neural disease for most of his life. In recent years he has become a prominent advocate for space travel, contending that humans must journey into the heavens and going through zero-gravity training himself.

"Into the Universe With Stephen Hawking" had its television premiere in the United States on the Discovery Channel on Sunday, and is due for broadcast in Britain next month.

Fear God.

Whether we say God, alien, angel or Anunnaki is purely a matter of semantics..

We have always known, been taught, that God & angels are extraterrestrial beings in nature.. [Extraterrestrial may refer to any object or being beyond (extra-) the planet Earth (terrestrial). It is derived from the Latin Root extra ("outside", "outwards") and terrestris ("earthly", "of or relating to the Earth").]

I believe in God & angels even though my belief system may be a bit unorthodox.

One more thought I would like to offer / pass along..

As you may know the word angel translates to messenger

The word angel in English is a fusion of the Old English word engel (with a hard g) and the Old French angele. Both derive from the Latin angelus which in turn is the romanization of the ancient Greek ἄγγελος (ángelos[5]), "messenger",[6] which is related to the Greek verb ἀγγέλλω (angéllō), meaning "bear a message, announce, bring news of" etc.[7] The earliest form of the word is the Mycenaean a-ke-ro attested in Linear B syllabic script.[8][9]

I have felt for some time that angels / aliens live among humanity, obscured by our own lack of understanding. Hidden among us as artists, musicians, poets, scientists, prophets..

During the course of my studies on the topics of this post I came across the lyrics of a band called Tool (An item or implement used for a specific purpose) ie; such as to deliver a message..

I'm posting one of my favorite Tool songs here for your examination of the lyrics. You don't have to like the particular form of music (though I do personally). It is the message contained within the lyrics that I find of great interest. I hope you will understand what I mean once you have viewed them yourself.

I would ask that if you think there is merit in the lyrics you see here that you might delve into the lyrics of Tool yourself. A very easy task on youtube.com by merely searching for tool lyrics.. (I highly recommend Lateralus, Schism, Fourty Six and Two, Aenema, The Pot, Vicarious & Eulogy).

There is much research to do still.. it is never ending, yet easily accessible to all.

The underlying, unifying, message of every piece of this entire post is that the LORD God has provided everything for us, including our very Creation, and that at some point in the future He will return.

Why is that so difficult for so many to #believe?

Pro_2:5 Then shalt thou understand the #fear of the LORD, and find the #knowledge of #God

#Fear is a necessary evil, employed by #God in an attempt to keep mankind on the right(eous) path..

What does it take to put fear into the heart of #humanity?

Simply the power to accomplish "things" that humanity cannot.. ie; miracles, if you like..

An [sufficiently advanced] entity / deity / race who has the ability to accomplish, seemingly, miraculous tasks of the likes we are not capable of mimicking makes us feel inferior / threatened / afraid.

So.. why did the people of the old testament fear God?

Because they personally experienced his glory and power.

Ecc_12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Pro_2:5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the #knowledge of God.

Chained #CPI is a big deal

Chained CPI is a big deal.. When #politicians "compromise" it's always because the elite driving force behind such "decisions" require it.

Such is the case with chained CPI.

The inflation rate is already manipulated to the hilt to low-ball the inflation rate to steal fiat from unsuspecting consumers without having to publically state a desire to raise taxes and / or cut benefits.

This [CPI] data manipulation, apparently, began in earnest under the Clinton administration, though there was much government data manipulation under Reagan as well and I'm sure before that also.

Here's a nice brief article from The Daily Reckoning entitled Manipulating the Masses which touches on the manipulations of several administrations.

Source (Tigerdroppings.com) --> How and why inflation data (CPI) is manipulated. (Posted on 12/20/12 at 12:59 p.m.)

The sole purpose in measuring inflation is to help businesses, individuals and government adjust their financial planning for the impact of inflation. Inflation erodes future purchasing power, and decreases economic prosperity, if not accurately accounted for. The accuracy of measuring inflation, and accounting for it properly, is essential to long term economic prosperity.

How CPI was manipulated:

Shortly after Clinton entered the White House the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) altered the calculation of inflation by changing the weighting of goods in the CPI fixed basket. Then, over subsequent years, the method of weighting the underlying components was changed from a straight arithmetic weighting method to geometric. The primary result of the switch to a geometric weighting was a lower weighting to CPI components that were rising in price, and a higher weighting to those items dropping in price which led to lower reported inflation.

According to John Williams:

“…the net effect was to reduce reported CPI on an annual, or year-over-year basis, by 2.7% from what it would have been based on the traditional weighting methodology. The results have been dramatic. The compounding effect since the early-1990s has reduced annual cost of living adjustments in social security by more than a third.”

But the manipulation of the data did not stop there. Aside from the weighting changes the BLS instituted a system of “hedonic” adjustments. Hedonics adjusts the prices of goods for the increased pleasure the consumer derives from them.

“That new washing machine you bought did not cost you 20% more than it would have cost you last year, because you got an offsetting 20% increase in the pleasure you derive from pushing its new electronic control buttons instead of turning that old noisy dial, according to the BLS.

When gasoline rises 10 cents per gallon because of a federally mandated gasoline additive, the increased gasoline cost does not contribute to inflation. Instead, the 10 cents is eliminated from the CPI because of the offsetting hedonic thrills the consumer gets from breathing cleaner air. The same principle applies to federally mandated safety features in automobiles. I have not attempted to quantify the effects of questionable quality adjustments to the CPI, but they are substantial.”

Lastly, there is "intervention analysis" in the seasonal adjustment process. Intervention analysis is critical to the highly volatile areas of food and energy. When a commodity, like gasoline, goes through periods of violent price swings the BLS steps in and uses “intervention analysis” to smooth out the volatility. As a result, sharply rising gasoline prices are never fully reflected in the reported headline inflation number. However, declining prices, which are never adjusted, do show an impact to reducing inflation.

The obvious problem with these manipulations is it changed the measure of inflation from a cost-of-living adjustment to a reduction-of-living adjustment. The original CPI calculation allowed individuals to understand the rate of return required on investments and incomes to maintain their current standard of living. However, by artificially suppressing the rate of inflation, the future standard of living is reduced to lower levels.

So the BLS manipulates the BLS data from the orginal calculation by 1.) changing the weighting of goods, 2.) “hedonic” adjustments, and 3.) "intervention analysis".

This manipulation of the CPI has led to this chart:

But WHY would the BLS manipulate the CPI calculation?

"In particular, changes made in CPI methodology during the Clinton Administration understated inflation significantly, and, through a cumulative effect with earlier changes that began in the late-Carter and early Reagan Administrations have reduced current social security payments by roughly half from where they would have been otherwise. That means Social Security checks today would be about double had the various changes not been made. In like manner, anyone involved in commerce, who relies on receiving payments adjusted for the CPI, has been similarly damaged. On the other side, if you are making payments based on the CPI (i.e., the federal government), you are making out like a bandit."

Shadowstats.com does a great job covering this topic (as well as other manipulated government data)

Alternate Inflation Charts

The CPI chart on the home page reflects our estimate of inflation for today as if it were calculated the same way it was in 1990. The CPI on the Alternate Data Series tab here reflects the CPI as if it were calculated using the methodologies in place in 1980. In general terms, methodological shifts in government reporting have depressed reported inflation, moving the concept of the CPI away from being a measure of the cost of living needed to maintain a constant standard of living.

Also from shadowstats.com

Consumer Price Index Has Been Reconfigured Since Early-1980s
So As to Understate Inflation versus Common Experience

CPI no longer measures the cost of maintaining a constant standard of living.

CPI no longer measures full inflation for out-of-pocket expenditures.

With the misused cover of academic theory, politicians forced significant underreporting of official inflation, so as to cut annual cost-of-living adjustments to Social Security, etc.

Politicians look to expand further the concept of artificially-suppressed cost-of-living adjustments in current budget-deficit negotiations, through the use of the Chained-CPI (see Special C-CPI Supplement at end of this document).

Use of the CPI to adjust retirement benefits, private income or to set investment goals impairs the ability of retirees, income earners and investors to stay ahead of inflation.

Understated inflation used in estimating inflation-adjusted growth has created the illusion of recovery in reported GDP.

Is our government “cooking the books”?

The short answer is yes. There are two serious problems with our national bookkeeping. The unemployment rate and the consumer price index are being cooked.
