Many times when/if a pair pauses & I do not know why I scan lower time frames until I find the likely cause.. Here it appears GBPJPY has been finding very good support on the m30 tunnel for quite awhile now..
(tunnel consists of two EMAs 144 & 169 13 EMA is used as a filter)
