Obama: don't jump to conclusion on Fort Hood shooting
(Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama urged Americans on Friday not to jump to conclusions on the motive behind the mass shooting at the sprawling Fort Hood army base in Texas.
"We don't know all the answers yet and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts," he said.
Obama also said he had met on Friday with officials including FBI Director Robert Mueller.

Fort Hood suspect charged with 13 counts of murder
Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Thursday he was appalled at news leaks about the investigation into last week's deadly shootings at Fort Hood.
"Frankly if I found out with high confidence anybody who's leaking on the Department of Defense, who that was, that would probably be a career-ender," he told reporters traveling with him to Oshkosh, Wis. "Everybody ought to shut up."

No matter the "crisis" the same bullshit Standard Operating Procedure is used by our government.. Always..
Whether it is the economic "crisis" / economy, TARP, banks, unemployment, foreclosures, war, oil spill, WikiLeaks, Japan, nuclear disaster, national debt / deficit, immigration, abortion, gay "rights", civil "rights", animal "rights", children's "rights", entitlements the "technique" is to ignore, to marginalize, to push back in time. To leak news ever so slowly to the public over a very long period of time..
Justice delayed is justice avoided it seems..
The corporate owned, complicit media gleefully play along quoting "expert" after "expert" on both sides of every story to confuse the issue, whatever it might be.
So why IS the game "played" this way?
In a word.. Politics..
It seems to me that our society / culture has become nothing more than one rather large, unruly political game. A game in which we, the people, are merely pawns to be manipulated by political parties using the "issues" of the day..
Until we, the people, change this we will be forever doomed to the status quo, political "gamesmanship", political "drama", political "theater".
And nothing will change at all..
